Liberty, Equality, Fraternity
for Lefty Caligari
What are we fighting for, Lefty? Why do we struggle when they continue to rob us of our livelihoods, put our windows through, kill our dogs, kick up dirt in our faces? What of the revolution, old friend?
We have learned well, both morally and spiritually - (over the intervening decades) 'friendship' is where it's at, beyond all governments and any pronouncements on high, beyond all hate and evil deeds, biologically, chemically and atomically. |
Mark A. Murphy’s first full length collection, Night-watch Man & Muse was published in November 2013 from Salmon Poetry (Eire). Murphy’s poems have been published in over 100 magazines and ezines in 17 different countries worldwide.
