 Dust Particle

Intriguing –
this tiny dust particle floating in front of my eyes.
Blow at it.
No! Come back!
You are my only company right now!
“Enlighten me,” I say.
The dust particle just floats.
“Ah! I see what you’re doing there!” I exclaim. 
Trying to teach me how to fly.

Poet Bio

Jordan Palmer is from a small, rural town outside of Newbern, Tennessee. She is currently a sophomore attending the University of Memphis at Lambuth in the nearby city of Jackson. As an aspiring author, she is pursuing an English degree with a focus in Literature and Creative Writing. While she has been recognized for her work locally, this is her first international publication.
