Walk
Beyond twenty, the road narrows. Weeds more beyond repair,
people more occasional. No vehicles on this unphotographed territory.
My name is drifting like a car on ice, urgent but unhurried.
Every so often travellers concede and build shelters, raw huts
of stone and toasted moss, but the road does not rest from stretching.
Who drags me here, or are my feet my own? What clouds to inaugurate
the expedition? Onwards, onwards. The answer in the distance.
